Sarah is an experienced local government senior manager, programme manager and strategic commissioner. She has over 15 years experience leading and managing significant transformation programmes across community health, adults and children’s social care and corporate services. Sarah has experience of setting up and leading a portfolio approach across a range of complex transformation projects and programmes, resource management and the associated governance requirements.
Major programmes of work have included the delivery of a Section 75 Agreement between a local authority and community health service provider for all age health and social care delivery, the set up and close down of a programme to deliver a shared service for transactional HR services with a Police authority and the collaborative submission of her borough’s Locality Plan and associated Transformation Fund bid to the GM Health & Social Care Partnership.
Sarah is currently directing a complex programme for the TU, which will deliver a new strategy for a hospital site to provide integrated acute provision with a range of wider wellbeing services, to best meet the needs of patients in one place.
Why are you passionate about the NHS?
I am passionate about improving the whole public service system including the NHS. We need to ensure it is financially sustainable so it remains available as a vital range of high quality support services for all, but particularly for the most vulnerable.
