The Transformation Unit has scooped the media, marketing and measurement award at the annual PRCA Dare Awards North, for the Healthier Together Consultation.
The PRCA is largest association for PR and communications people in the UK, It represents many of the major UK PR consultancies and exists to raise standards in PR and communications. The awards, held at the Palace Hotel in Manchester, celebrated the very best PR and communications agencies in the North West.
The winning submission, the Healthier Together consultation, aimed to engage with the public and stakeholders in a meaningful and relevant way, eliciting opinions about proposed changes to NHS in Greater Manchester. A key part of the strategy was to implement the campaign across various communication channels, which included; hosting live debates, bus roadshows, bespoke engagement events targeting specific groups and a targeted digital strategy. There were also a number of evaluation mechanisms implemented, pre and post campaign, to measure awareness and impact.
The consultation received responses from over 30,000 people in the Greater Manchester area, the best response to date for a NHS consultation across England.
Winning this award is a great achievement and demonstrates the communication and engagement approach for the Healthier Together consultation is recognised as best practice and is in line with industry standards.
