Assistant Director of Transformation

Gemma has over nine years’ experience working in health and social care and is an Assistant Director within the Transformation Unit. Gemma is focused on clinical transformation, effectively supporting senior clinicians and leaders to develop a compelling vision for major transformation programmes. Gemma is well practised in developing cases for change, models of care, workforce plans and business cases through her support to numerous programmes and projects.

Prior to joining the Transformation Unit, Gemma spent time in management consultancy working for Teamwork Management Service and Mott MacDonald, supporting a wide range of organisations within the NHS and the Health Service Executive in the Republic of Ireland.

Why are you passionate about the NHS?

I am proud to be able to support large transformational programmes which will make a real difference to the lives of patients and their families. The complex makeup of the NHS makes it a challenging environment, which I enjoy navigating, to enhance the quality of services and sustain them for future generations.
